Handmade card technique

Here is a clever handmade card technique! I really love this card made by Lynda and the super easy technique she used to quickly add detail to this girl’s lovely dress.

She first printed the digital stamp onto white card stock paper and painted the hair, face and body with Copic markers. She also printed a second image of this girl onto a patterned scrapbook paper from the set French garden, then she simply fussy cut the dress from the pattern paper and layered it onto the original image, that way you will save a lot of time since you are using a pre-made pattern instead of painting the dress yourself.

The digital paper set used to make this card is French Garden by Lilmade Designs.

This adorable stamp is Prom Girl by Chi Chi Memories. I hope you liked this card! Please check Lynda’s blog to learn more about the techniques she used to make this project.

Happy crafting!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone!

Today is like a blank canvas, a day full of hope and the best opportunity for each one of us to reach our goals. I’ve struggled with this most of 2015, there were a lot of things that I just couldn’t finish, lots of goals I couldn’t achieve. I wondered if I was setting unrealistic goals, but then I realized that the problem was very simple, my plans were well thought out, but I simply didn’t follow them!  So my only new year resolution is to just “follow my plan” and I’m sure good things will happen!

Happy New Year 2016

Wishing you a lovely and very blessed 2016!!!

Happy Fall 2015

Happy Fall 2015! My favorite season has arrived and now is time to get ready for the holidays I enjoy so much! Those of us who live in sunny California will have to wait a bit to see those golden leaves falling, so I thought I should post this inspirational pic to kick off the season!
