4th of July freebie

4th of July freebie alert!

Are you ready to celebrate the 4th of July? I know I am! I’m planning to enjoy a peaceful summer afternoon gathering with family and friends to celebrate the birthday of our country!

I decided to make some fun 4th of July inspired party decorations, so I thought I might as well share them with you. This is a printable set of cupcake toppers, can be used to decorate goodie bags as well.

I just made these three to show you how they look, these are super easy to make!

There are six different designs included in the set. Here’s a close up of the printed page. I printed them on inexpensive white Neenah cardstock.

How to make the cupcake toppers

First off you need to download the file, please find the download link at the bottom of this post. Once you downloaded the freebie you will need to unzip the folder in order to access the printable sheets.

I included two file formats, JPEG and PDF files since many of my customers find the PDF’s easier to print. Select file format you like and send it to your printer. When you are in your print dialog box, make sure to deselect “scale to fit” so that the printer does not resize the designs.

Cut them out with a trimmer, you can use them as squares or give them a fancy shape using a punch.

I always design my cupcake toppers to fit a standard 2 inch scallop punch (which seems to be my customer’s favorite punch), that’s why it is important to set your printer to print actual size, if your printer reduces the size of the toppers, they’ll be too small for this punch.

I simply mount the toppers on lollipop sticks or small bamboo skewers using a piece of scotch tape, then I’ll punch out an extra shape in plain white cardstock to cover the back of the topper, gluing it with mounting tape to keep the paper from bending.

This is how the back of the topper is going to look like.

Remember, it does not have to be perfect, the most important thing is to have fun!

How to download

Please download the file from my Dropbox here

Or you can also download from the following stores (if you have an account with them).

I hope you enjoy this freebie! Happy crafting and have a wonderful 4th of July!

4th of July free printable cupcake toppers.

Hi there sugar pies! Just wanted to let you know that I created this 4th of July free printable cupcake toppers set for Mygrafico Party Impressions Blog some time ago, but I didn’t have the freebie posted on this blog. I just updated it so I wanted to share it with you before Independence Day is gone!

This free sample features a 2 x 2 inch cupcake in red, blue and white. These cupcake toppers can be cut out with a 2 inch scallop punch and used as cupcake wrappers, envelope seals and even as cute little round gift tags.

How to use our free printable cupcake toppers

Print the provided JPEG or the PDF file on photo paper or good quality cardstock and cut the images out using a 2 inch scallop border punch. Then you can just mount them on lollipop sticks. I wanted to add some more detail, so I created a rosette in matching tissue paper, secured it to the lollipop stick with a glue dot and then I simply glued the cupcake topper on top.

I hope you like this freebie!

Thank you and happy 4th of July!!
