Ink and embossing powder swatches

Making my ink and embossing powder swatches with the Simon Says Stamp swatch book set. I really love this product, It comes with everything I need to create my own color books, and I believe I could also use the stamps to create a lot of different designs.

What comes in the box

So this set includes:

  • Four clear stamps, like as I said above I can use them to create other things like borders or even backgrounds.
  • A lot of white swatch cards with markings or boxes where you can stamp the swatch.
  • Several little samples of colored cardstock in beautiful colors.
  • The silver ring.

The colored cardstock swatch set is particularly useful, since it allows me to know how the cardstock will look when combined with coordinating ink colors. The colors are really gorgeous and pretty much each cardstock color has a matching ink.

For my white ink,  I just cut a piece of black cardstock that I had using one of the swatch papers as template, very easy to do.

Needless to say, it was a lot of fun putting this together and of course, having my swatches handy and organized can make a lot difference when I’m crafting! At least, I know what I have available, and I can see how the products behave and how they look once they dry, which hopefully will translate in better design decisions and less “Pinterest fail” like mess-ups.

If you want to buy this kit here is where I ordered it.
