Clever technique to make handmade cards

Here is a clever technique to make handmade cards! This technique works when you have character stamps like the one shown below, instead of using markers to color in the outfits, you will use patterned digital paper cut outs, pretty much like playing with paper dolls.

So Lynda printed the digital stamp onto white card stock paper and paint the hair, face and body with Copic markers. Then, she printed the same digital stamp onto a patterned scrapbook paper from the set French garden, fussy cut the dress from the pattern paper and layered it onto the original image, that’s it!

Above is the handmade card featuring a lovely patterned dress made with one of the digital papers from the set French Garden by Lilmade Designs. This adorable stamp is Prom Girl by Chi Chi Memories.

With this technique you can easily create lovely outfits in patterns that would be too complex and time consuming to paint by hand, like gingham and floral patterns.

I hope you liked this card! Please check Lynda’s blog to learn more about the techniques she used to make this project.

Happy crafting!

♥ xoxo
