Papel picado banners SVG files

Papel picado banners SVG files set comes with four “papel picado” style pennant banners cutting templates that you can cut using a cutting machine such as Cricut, Silhouette Cameo or any other machine able to handle SVG cutting files.

These pennant banners were inspired by the Mexican folk art of paper cutting also known as “papel picado”. They are used in Mexico to decorate weddings and religious celebrations.

To cut these banners you will need

A cutting machine and proper software to use these files. Please note that not all cutting machines can handle SVG files. For example, the two brands I have – Silhouette Cameo and Cricut Personal – require additional software to open SVG files.

In order to be able to cut SVG files in my Silhouette, I had to upgrade the Silhouette Studio software that comes with the machine, to Silhouette Designer Edition. This software was inexpensive and it was a great addition since it added a lot of extra features besides the capability of working with my own SVG designs.

Sure Cuts a lot is another fantastic piece of software that can help you cut SVG files with certain machines. I have an old version of this software that works exclusively with my old Cricut Personal and it works like a dream. What are the formats included in the set?
PNG, EPS 8 and SVG cutting files. All files come colored in black.
